The things that I have learned are many. But the most useful to me was the Novelist Plus and the research for doing papers or ancestry. I have used the Novelist Plus list to find more authors that myself and my husband and the students I work with get more interesting books in the genre we all like. The ancestry, I will use this summer when I have more time to find lost relatives on both sides of my parents. Research site will come in handy for the students in the spring that I work with for science project about Mars. Great way to learn about new techniques that I didn't know were available.

I looked up Herbal Medicine, Healing and Cancer  for zinc.  Zinc is in every cell in the body, and is needed for many many functions that the body does. People with cancer have been found to have very low zinc levels and also in the elder their zinc levels are low. But in healthy people zinc levels are high.

Looking up the book about Maine: Country Town Maine: Charming small towns/villages to explore was very fact finding about many small towns in Maine.

Constitution Day: State Constitutions of the United States by Maddex, Robert and Constitution in Congress: The Federalist Period 1789-1801 by Currie, David, and Constitution of United States of America by Project Gutenberg would all give a student many awesome facts and history about how and why the Constitution came about and when.

I enjoyed being able to read book in print on line. Great feature for being able to see the book without carrying a stack of actual books around for research or the many crafts that I do.  BUT I still love to have the actual paper made book in my hands for a good mystery book, I can see where reading on line has many advantages such as not being able to go to a Library or not having the money to purchase real books, and to be able to see so many sources and books at one time with only a click of the mouse.

Learning Express, I found very helpful and interesting. I took the grade 8 reading practice 1 for Middle School, I did well but made silly mistakes, know how the kids feel. This exam would be great to prepare students for NWEA's, MEA's, and SAT's and PSAT's or just regular multiple choice tests.
Job Search and Workplace Skills: gives great tasks and ways to get a job in the field you want and what you need to do to accomplish your goals.  Would be very helpful for high school, college, and work place.
eBooks: I want to spend more time on later. But books that caught my eyes were flash cards, basic math skills, geography review, and SAT/PSAT word games, and exams for jobs: career nursing, culinary, and many many more.

I viewed the tutorials and I am excited to go to the library to view and look up my mother's family.  She was from North Carolina and lost her father at a young age.  Her sisters died in mid life and had family members that I have never met. So this is my summer project.

I could not find the relevance sort key. Bu the information on this site was easy to read. I looked up role of coffee in modulation of diabetes risk. Not increased because of gender or race. Coffee might actual lower the risk of diabetes.
Medline Plus was a great site, the column on the right gave health news as of Nov 13. Drugs and Supplements key showed me zyrtec  what it is and what it is used for. Top searches on the left side were amlodipine aspirin, asthma, autism, and diabetes. Health Topics gave same information as other site but more detail but easy to follow words. Video showed easy to follow advice, updates, symptoms, and causes.
For myself, I liked the Medline Plus site better because it seemed more up to date with information on the drug and supplements.

Business Resources, I believe might be helpful in an economics class or a math class with stocks.
Business Resources Complete shows radio station out of country info also, interferences and radio system troubles.
Econ Lit would be very helpful to small businesses, farmers, hunters for info and boundaries on the environment.
Regional Business News is where I looked up info on Walmart and LL Bean. Where there promotions are, internet worth of sales, recalls on toddler slippers. Very helpful site for consumers also.
Value Line Research is where I looked up Starbucks, and found out who started company and where, and that Green Mountain is adding Starbucks to them, the growth is going on.
Wall Street Journal provided me facts about Dunkin Donuts and where to open a shop and where new ones are going in now.

Novelist Plus, I found a great tool to sort by ascending and descending for which book came before the other by an author. View gives me a brief description of the book and the author's way of writing. Using this method will help me connect the students to the same type of genre and way of writing of their favorite author.
The read-alikes-from Novelist is heaven sent to figure out a book I or my student might like to read that is similar to our favorite author. You go to author then hit new authors to read, same type and up comes the choices you can print. This also tells how the new author writes and about what things.
I looked up my favorite writers Fern Michaels of God mothers series, Sarah Graves of home repair mysteries,  and James Patterson of Alex Cross and others, wow what a list of many authors I found.
